Umber and White Linear Carved Planter

This large planter was thrown on the pottery wheel and finished by hand carving the design, then fired in the kiln at 2380°F.

The clay is a dark brown-black ceramic stoneware, with a stark contrasting white glaze in the carved pattern.

There are some small cracks coming from the drainage hole - this is superficial but is now classed as a Second.
